Assembly required!! But its not hard. Good chair, I have it in a bedroom, it works well. The only thing is I wish it had a bit more cushion to the seat. Picture is accurate along with description.

Chair Isn't A Good Bargain May 18, 2010

I will never buy another chair from this company or even another chair like this one.

I purchased this chair and ottoman 3 months before the due date of my son. Pregnancy due dates are uncertain so my wife and I wanted to prepare the baby room in advance. After my son was born, my wife started using the chair about 2 hours per day (give or take) but not all at once. She basically used it to feed and rock our son to sleep before putting him in his crib. After 2 weeks of use the bearings fell out of the bottom of the chair. I called the company and they would not, under any circumstances, refund the money or replace the chair because the 90 day warranty had expired.

I could not fix the chair either because the bearings are held into place by a race that is machined on (meaning that a machine crimpes the metal to create a rolling surface for the bearings). So, there was no way anyone that I knew could fix the chair nor was it worth shipping it back to the company to fix it. It would have been more time and cost effective to simply replace it but honestly, there is no way I would buy this chair again.

So, for my actual review of the chair's performance... My wife weighed 100 lbs after our son was born. I am 6 feet 4 inches tall and weigh approx 220 lbs (36" pant waist which fits loosely). For my wife, the chair was very comfortable and she had no complaints about the chair's performance (other than breaking very quickly). I on the other have several issues with the chair.

1. The chair is very narrow. I would say the chair is better suited for kids in their early teens or small, thin people. When I sat in the chair, I had to wedge my hips between the arm rests. So, the chair is very narrow. Also, the back was not high enough to rest my head.

2. Speaking of backrests, there is no rigid support in the back of the chair. Instead of metal, the back of the chair is reinforced with cardboard. So, when I would lean back in the chair, the backrest would bend without tension. So, I had to sit upright without putting weight onto the back of the chair. Needless to say it wasn't comfortable.

3. The reclining feature was very difficult to operate. I felt like I had to force it back but once it was back, I couldn't sit in the chair because the backrest had no support. The back would just keep bending until I either stopped trying to relax or my spine bend in half. My wife could not get the reclining feature to work but she never wanted to use it anyway.

4. The gliding motion is very nice. My wife says the chair is very comfortable and well padded and glides very gracefully.

In conclusion, even if you are a small enough person to actually be able to use this chair, avoid buying this chair because it is poorly made and constructed using low grade materials. Cheers!

Not Very Comfortable... Mar 25, 2010

I ordered this chair based on price and the reviews. I have to say it is not very comfortable. First of all it is too tall. When I sit in it, my feet can't reach the floor. It is hard to get in and out of due to its height. Third, the swivel is loose, so that when you try to glide , it's swiveling too. Fourth, to call this a "reclining" chair, is really misleading. It does not recline very far back at all. Had I been able to try it out first, I would not have purchased this chair!

Comfy chair for baby's room Feb 22, 2010

I love this chair and have received many compliments on it. It's not your typical nursery rocker and I love that about it. We can use it long after the baby is grown. The chair reclines, rocks, swivels and is very comfortable - I have fallen asleep many times in it and it is easy to clean in case of accidental spills. It does not look cheap like so many fabrics do and I was surprised that I didn't pay more. It came shortly after I ordered it and I found it easy to assemble even being 7 months pregnant. I have had it for several months now and I love it and have not experienced any squeakiness. If I had, I would just use metal lubricant and forget it.
